This tool combines traditional oriental plane maker's skill and the fine quality of Hock iron. Although the iron is sharp out of the box, honing prior to first use is highly recommanded. Please wait for some time to let the wood settle before make any adjustment to the plane body. Due to the size the plane body, the wood will move a little bit with the climate change, a light coat of wax will help keep the plane in its perfect condition.
